How to order from FrankenCutters
Your Source of custom-made, small volume, copper items
Normally fast turn-around times, and we will email you a free quote.
(Note that we don't keep cutters in stock anymore, all cutters are made to order)
Custom made: You can simply say "1978 Volkswagon Beetle, make it 5 inches wide", or you can send us a photo of yours. Send it by email, fax, or regular mail. (If the design is copyrighted, I need permission in writing from the owner of the copyright).
Small volume: As few as one, as many as a few hundred. For larger quantities I can make up a bending jig and save time (and some of your money). I'd probably need a longer lead-time for large quantities.
Copper: Well, okay, for some items, we use stainless steel, aluminum, or brass. Candlemakers, for instance, prefer stainless steel. For Cakepans, I use sheet aluminum. To make very tiny cutters (down to 1/2" across), I normally use very thin brass.
Most other items are of copper. And we also make metal cookie presses to make imprints in the dough before baking. Everything is lead-free. Any plastic used is HDPE, as used in foodsafe cutting boards.

We support:

  • Cookie makers - In the past we stocked many "stock" cutter designs, but now we specialize in custom designs .
  • Cookie Cutter Collectors - We have been members of the Cookie Cutter Collector's Club since the early 1980's, participate in meetings and the biannual conventions. We've also created, host, and maintain the official CCCC Website.
  • Professional Bakers - For heavy-duty cutters, I normally add a back, and a large wooden handle. To save you time, the cutter could have multiple cutters on one back. On some designs, a "pusher-plate" can be added, to eject the dough.
  • Cake Decorators - We have some unique "stock" items, such as flexible-curve cutters. We also supply custom-designed shapes for cutting "fondant" (used by cake decorators). We have some "stock" Gingerbread House kits, but we're happy to make your design. And we now have special rolling pins, and oversized stainless steel spatulas.
  • Wedding Planners - Why not give everyone at the Reception a unique gift of a cookie cutter, in a design special to you?
  • People Planning a Theme Party - Here are a few designs a customer requested for a 60's Party.
  • Special Gift Ideas - Here's a great gift for Mom or Grandma: Trace your child's hand or foot, and I'll make cookie cutters to that exact shape, and hand-engrave details on the end, such as "John Wesley - Age 3"
We support those who make:
  • Custom Cakes - Aluminum cakepans, custom-made to shapes you can't buy anywhere else. Send us your design or we'll make the design for you. Welded to a baseplate, with a depth of 3 inches, they work very well! We just made a '78 Trans-Am for someone. How about your classic car?
  • Porcelain Artwork - Very finely detailed cutters to exactly fit the customer's drawings.
  • Ceramic Buttons - Very small mini-cutters (from 1/2" to 3/4" across), some with pusher plates to extract the clay.
  • Soap or Candles- Stainless steel cutters or candle molds , very sturdy, with sharpened edges, and heavy-duty handle.
  • Other Decorative Artwork - Copper leaves, cutters for clay designs, picture frames, etc...
And we also make:
  • Jewelry - Cookie Cutter Earrings, Copper Bracelets
  • Clip-on Pins - Decorative copper pins- your logo design, gingerbread boy, "love" in sign language...
  • Small Christmas Ornaments - Small copper ornaments, perfect for feather trees or other small trees.
  • Candle Accessories - Candle snuffers, Candle Trays, here are a few photos of candle accessories
  • Made some copper roses for Lori, very nice, using a very fine copper mesh.

Nuts & Bolts Section
Hammer & NailI'm really into tools. Woodworking, metalworking, new, old, antique, or especially homemade, I like them all. Here are a lot of photos of the old and new FrankenCutters  workshops, and some of the tools I use.

Wonder how I make cutters?  I can't tell you everything, but here's a brief description of cutter making.

If you're interested in how I got started making cookie cutters, here is some FrankenHistory.

And, would you like to know how to clean and take care of your cutters?  Here's some info.

What's New with Frank & Lori

WHAT'S NEW WITH FRANK & LORI:
newphotoBeen a tough winter. So far we've gotten some 135+ inches of snow. Couple of weeks ago we got 24" of snow in one day.  Wasn't easy snowblowing that much snow! The deer are back now (April), after hunkering down most of Jan/Feb. Actually had a bit of snow in mid-April, but it melted right away.
We've got a gateway page called "WebNew", which has links to various pages of personal photos. Check out our recently revised
"Webnew page", especially the 2008 Christmas decorations!

Frank went ice-fishing for the first time this winter, very enjoyable! But all the ice is gone now, time for garage sale season...
